Jonathan A. Johnson Rural Research Fellowship

Jonathan A. Johnson Rural Research Fellowship

The Center for Rural Pennsylvania commends its Senior Policy Analyst and longtime public servant, Mr. Johnathan A. Johnson, as he retires from a successful career with the Center. Mr. Johnson is honored for his many notable achievements, such as establishing the Center's database, providing timely analysis of data to inform policy making, making countless public presentations, and answering any Center inquiry to the best of his knowledge. Most noteworthy, Mr. Johnson has mentored dozens of interns throughout his laudable career. These "alumni" of the Center are actively engaged in a wide range of professional activities and public service, thanks in large part to Mr. Johnson. In recognition of Mr. Johnson's selfless efforts to educate and counsel these students, the Center for Rural Pennsylvania hereby retitles its internship program as the Jonathan A. Johnson Rural Research Fellowship. The Fellowship will be open to any undergraduate or graduate student who wishes to pursue meaningful rural policy research and make a positive contribution to this Commonwealth, just as Mr. Johnson has.
